Started my career at the age of 16 years old as an electrical apprentice in 1970 with Keppel Harbour, former British Swan Hunter group.

During these 25 years with the Keppel group of companies, I rose to various management ranks with multiple diverse portfolios with a short stint working on board Keppel’s Kapal management bulk carriers as a sea going engineer.
Needing a change, I left Keppel to join Dutch company Smit International BV as Superintendent, taking care of their over 110 vessels deployed globally.

With various exposure in ship management and engagement with manufacturers, I left Smit International and set up my own company E.A.M. Services Pte Ltd to represent Japanese engine manufacturer Niigata Power System Co. Ltd as their first service centre in Singapore and South-East Asia,
In 2002, I was head-hunted by Total Automation (listed on SGX main board) to set up a new division for marine & offshore switchboards and panels. During this transition, I brought the Niigata’s agency to Total Automation.
